RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Election Commission on Tuesday completed the training of polling staff to be deputed at 1,771 polling stations across the district on December 5 local government elections.

The training was imparted to the polling staff from November 13 to December 1. The Election Commission officials informed the staff how to check the registered voters in the list and issue them ballot papers.

A total 2,281,483 voters will use their right to franchise on December 5 to elect public representatives for District Council, two Municipal Corporations in Rawalpindi and Murree and five municipal committees in Gujar Khan, Taxila, Kalar Syedan, Kahuta and Kotli Sattian.-A Reporter
