QUETTA: The Accountability Court of Quetta returned on Monday the plea bargain application originally submitted to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) by former finance secretary of Balochistan Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani while raising objections to it.
It asked the investigation officer of NAB`s Balochistan branch, who was present in the court, to submit the application again after completing technical formalities.
`It is a minor issue. After review of the technical aspects, the application will be again submitted to the court within two days,` the NAB spokesman told Dawn when contacted.
The bureau`s Balochistan wing, as per the National Accountability Ordinance 1999, had submitted to the court the plea bargain application of Raisani, the main accused in a major corruption case.
But the accountability court`s judge Majeed Nasar raised objections to the application and directed the NAB prosecutors to submit with it the details of cash and documents of benami properties recovered in the case.
The spokesman said that objections of the honourable court would be removed when the application would be submitted again.
