SHIKARPUR: A Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) worker was kidnapped by a group of armed men while he was on his way to Shikarpur in a car on Saturday night.

The victim, Mushtaq Ahmed Shaikh, a cousin of Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, left Jacobabad along with his relative, Ghulam Yaseen Shaikh, for Shikarpur but the car they were travelling in was intercepted by some armed men on the way.

The armed men released Ghulam Shaikh before entering the katcha area and also abandoned the car near Burirro Wah (canal) at a desolate place along Jacobabad–Shikarpur National Highway within the jurisdiction of the Hamayoon police station.
