I salute the writer for highlighting a pertinent problem being faced by society. I am also a senior citizen and being issueless, I strongly concur with the demand that the government build old houses for senior citizens.
I feel that nothing would be done by any government as they have other priorities, and the old and the ailing whose votes matter little have lost their utility for them. I advise the writer of the letter to shortlist old houses run by private NGOs to find a suitable abode for his parents.
