KARACHI: Turkey`s reported recognition of the so-called Jewish State of Israel has caused deep resentment among the Muslims of Pakistan, Chaudhri Khaliquzzaman, President of the Pakistan Muslim League said on Saturday [April 2]. Briefly commenting on the news the League President said: `I am surprised to learn that Turkey has recognised the so-called State of Israel. The news has caused deep resentment among the Muslim[s] of Pakistan`. Turkey is the First Muslim State to officially recognise `Israel`.
