SUKKUR: An elderly man, a women and a young girl were killed and two others of the same family were injured when their car was hit by a bus on the National Highway in Gambat town, Khairpur district, late on Wednesday night.

Police official said that when the family met the accident when they were going from Karachi to Waziristan in their car. They shifted the bodies and the injured to the Gambat Institute of Medical Science (GIMS) where doctors provided emergency treatment to the injured, they said.

They said the bodies were identified as those of Niaz Mohammad, 60, Imam Bibi, and a 12-year-old girl and the injured included 45-year-old Saiqa Khatoon and Khawar Khan, who were under treatment at the GIMS.

They said the bodies were handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.
