CHINIOT: A five-year-old boy missing since March 26 was found murdered near his home in Muslim Colony, Chenab Nagar.

Muhammad Haseeb, son of Mulazim Hussain, had gone out to play but never returned. His family searched for him before lodging a kidnap case at Chenab Nagar police.

On Tuesday, his body was found in bushes near his house.

The police added Section 302 to the case`s supplementary report.

Chenab Nagar SHO Ghulam Shabbir said that investigations were underway.

HUMILIATION: A farmer was beaten, stripped, and had his head, eyebrows and moustache shaved over a land dispute in Bulhay Wala village.

Munir Ahmad was allegedly kidnapped while feeding his cattle by Umar Hayat, Akhtar, Nadeem, Muhammad Nawaz and three unidentified accomplices.

They took him to their dera, stripped him, tied him to a tree and beat him with axes, sticks and rods.

The assailants then shaved his head, eyebrows and moustache with a razor and filmed the ordeal. The video was later posted online.

Nazir Ahmad, Munir`s brother, learned about the incident, rushed to the dera and rescued him. Munir was taken to a hospital, where he received medical treatment and a medico-legal certificate.

Nazir later lodged an FIR at Muhammad Wala police station under Sections 365 and 337-V of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Nazir said that his brother wanted to buy a piece of land adjacent to the suspects` property, which they opposed. To stop him, they subjected him to this brutal treatment.

The police said the district police officer took notice of the incident and formed a special team, including DSP Lalian and SHO of Muhammad Wala, to investigate.

Police have arrested Nadeem, while raids are ongoing to trace the rest.
