Only PM, CM know about changes to cabinet: minister

MUZAFFARGARH: Provincial Minister for Education Murad Raas visited Muzaffargarh on Thursday where he administered oath to the members of students`councils.
He said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government would stop corruption of Rs4 billion being done in the name of transfers, postings as within two weeks, the department was launching online transfer policy.
He told ceremony participants, also attended by local MPAs, his department was going to begin double shift schools in 22 districts of Punjab. He said he was surprised to learn that many schools were without electricity.
He said that only two leaders -Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar -knew about any impending changes to the cabinet but onething was certain the chief minister was not going to be changed.
He said double-shift schools` students would be provided bicycles. In two years, the education department will launch new syllabus for students. He said some people thought that when the PTI government come into power, the system would change overnight but the ruling party needed time to fix the 40-year-old system.
He appreciated Students Councils in Muzaffargarh.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Ehtesham Anwar said the councils would improve students` strength in speeches, poetry and Bazm-i-Adab while in assembly sessions students would read news, the message of today, online. Later, he inaugurated an online magazine and administered oath from president, general secretary and finance secretary.
Last week, the DC held elections of councils in government schools. He said the program was managed under` Nia Saal Nai, Nia Dour` in Muzaffargarh district.
MPA Ashraf Rind alleged that many schools had yet to be rehabilitated after supper noods of 2010.
Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner Asadullah Faiz was present.
