Five students caught cheating in intermediate exams

RAWALPINDI: As annual intermediate exams have begun in Rawalpindi Division, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi on Friday caught five students red-handed cheating in the examination.

According to BISE Rawalpindi spokesman Arslan Cheema, five candidates three females and two male students were caught cheating in the Pakistan Studies paper. The two were from the examination centre of Government Islamia Higher Secondary School No.1, Murree Road, and three students were from Government Associate College of Commerce, Sunny Bank, Murree.

He said that unfair means cases were immediately registered against all five candidates and sent to the discipline branch for further action. He said that BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan made it clear that there would be no tolerance for cheating cases.

He said that the BISE chairman also visited various examination centres in Rawalpindi, and said strict monitoring was being conducted of all the examination centres with the help of the special branch of police.

He stated that the violation of standard operating procedures were not allowed, strict disciplinary action and an FIR will be registered against anyone found involved in the violation.
