Men involved in looting of bus held

KHUZDAR: Police have busted a dacoits gang which had looted a passenger bus and deprived the passengers of their cash, valuables and other belongings, said District Police Officer (DPO) of Lasbela Zia Mandokhel on Friday.
Addressing a press conference, Mr Mandokhel said that the bus was looted by a group of dacoits, including a woman, at gunpoint. The bus was going to Karachi from Quetta.
The dacoity incident had occurred two days ago, he said and added that a special team was constituted following the incident. The team comprised Winder SHO Nabi Bakhsh, Sakran SHO Gul Hasan Pandrani and Hub City Additional SHO Muhammad Jan.
Acting on a tip-off, the team conducted a raid and arrested all four suspects and recovered looted items from their possession.
He said that the suspects had confessed to having been involved in several other such incidents in the area of Lasbela. The suspects belong to interior of Sindh and only one of them is from Quetta. An amount of Rs 60,000, 11 cell phones, three watches, four pistols and one snatched bike was recovered from their possession, he added.
