LAHORE: The caretaker cabinet meeting approved on Friday an amendment to the Punjab Civil Service Pension Rules, ensuring the immediate payment of 65pc pension to employees after retirement.

Up to 65pc of pension will continue to be paid until the complete pension documents were prepared.

The meeting also amended Motor Vehicle Rules of 1969. Furthermore,the establishment of Paraplegic RehabilitationCentreswasapproved, with special centres to be set up in Multan, Taunsa, Lahore, Faisalabad and Wah. These centres will provide rehabilitation services for paralysed patients.

The cabinet also granted aid for the flyover project at Akbar Chowk.

Additionally, the Punjab Environmental Protection (single-use plastic product) Regulations, 2023 were approved.

In another decision, the meeting approved the de-notification of the Administrator General and Official Trustees in Punjab`s Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department.

Lastly, the revenue mobilisation strategy plan for the fiscal years 2023-24 to 2025-26 was also approved.-Staff Reporter
