LAKKI MARWAT: Unknown armed men shot dead a police constable in Bannu district on Monday.

Police said Mohammad Abrar Khan, 40, was attacked near a graveyard located along Bannu-Mandan Road when he was going to his duty place on a motorcycle. They said the deceased cop was deployed at the investigation wing.

Rasool Nawaz Khan, 69, father of the deceased, told police that he was at home when someone informed him that the body of his son was lying in the District Headquarters Hospital.

He said he along with relatives reached the hospital and found the body there.

“Later I came to know that unidentified armed men killed Abrar when he was on way to his office on a motorcycle,” he maintained, telling police that his son had no enmity with anyone.

The police registered a case against unknown killer(s).
