CAIRO: Egypt`s War Minister Mustfa Nusrat Bey stated today [July 2] that Egyptian forces had repelled a Jewish invasion supported by aircraft inside the Egyptian armistice line near the frontier town of Rafah. He said one villager was killed when eight Jewish armed units on Friday [June 30] penetrated the Egyptian lines east of Rafah ...
and attacked the village of Karam Ben alMosleh. The War Minister said: `This is not the first incident where the Jews have broken the armistice lines.
`Formerly the Egyptian forces had been instructed to call United Nations Observers when there had been armistice infringements by the Jews, but now they have received instructions to fight back without waiting for [their arrival].` He added that they carried out these instructions in Friday`s attack.
