Mr Zai was arrested on Aug 25 after arrest warrants were issued against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over alleged tampering of examination results, out of turn promotions and illegal appointments.

Mr Thebo added that the pending examination results of 95,000 students, held bacl< after the arrest of the BSEK chairperson, will be announced by Monday.

He said that although the anti-corruption cell has arrested officials of BSEK in the past, this case involving Mr Zai Zai was looked into by NAB to avoid `double jeopardy` in court. It was better if one institution followed the case till the end to avoid confusion, he added.-Staff Reporter
