KARACHI: Reiterating his allegation against the London-based MQM founder, Pak Sarzameen Party chairman Mustafa Kamal on Friday asked Dr Farooq Sattar-led Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan to leave the `mandate of Altaf Hussain` and contest elections on their own and his party would not field its candidates against them.

Speaking at a press conference at the PSP headquarters in PECHS, he said Dr Sattar was trying to fool the people by removing the name of MQM founder Hussain from the constitution. He said that Altaf Hussain and MQM were two names of one thing and he did not need any party constitution to issue and implement his directives.

He said that Mr Hussain was an agent of Indian intelligence agency R AW and `we lef t him and went abroad four years back because ofhis association with RAW`.

Criticising the establishment for creating the MQM, he said that both former military dictators Gen Zia-ul-Haq and Gen Pervez Musharraf helped nurture the Altaf Hussain-led party.

The former Karachi mayor asked Dr Sattar that why he was demanding opening of the MQM`s Nine-Zero headquarters, which is the residenceof Mr Hussain.

He also criticised the resolution tabled in the National Assembly against Mr Hussain and said that Dr Sattar did not name and demand action against the MQM founder in the resolution.

`Farooq Sattar should leave Altaf Hussain`s mandate, contest election and get his own mandate. We will not field our candidates against your [MQM] candidates,` he said.

`It would be treason if you try to save Altaf Hussain from punishment, he said, urging Dr Sattar and his party to dissociate themselves from Mr Hussain.

He also asked the Mohajirs to get rid of arms and buy books and computers.
