LAHORE: The Punjab home department has suspended deputy superintendent (Executive) Kamran Maqbool from service on charges of inefficiency and negligence.
The deputy superintendent has been suspended following an initial probe report on the incident ofa clash among inmates at the Kot Lakhpat jail that had left one killed and severalothersinjured.
The home secretary had constituted an inquiry committee comprising three DIGs to probe the incident of clash among inmates.
IG Prisons Mian Salik Jalal had earlier suspended six assistant superintendents.
