Protesters seek recovery of kidnapped men

KARAK, Nov 2: People of different localities of Takht-iNusrati on Saturday took out a protest rally against the kidnapping of two persons of Khattak tribe in Hangu district and set a 24-hour deadline for their safe recovery.
In this regard, the residents of Guddikhel union council also held a Qaumi Jirga at Kasteer Banda here on Saturday with Maulana Maweez Khan in the chair.
Speaking on the occasion, the elders and notables, including Ghani Khan, Sadiqullah Khan, Hazrat Ameen and others, said thatMohammad Ishaq and Haneefullah, residents of Kasteer Banda, were kidnapped by unknown persons from Hangu a few days ago.
They said that the two had gone to Hangu for work.
They said that kidnapping of the members of Khattak tribe was not a good omen for peace and asked the district administration to play its due role in safe and early recovery of the kidnapped persons.
They set a 24-hour deadline for their recovery and warned that after expiry of the deadline they would start a protest movement.Later, the residents of Kasteer Banda, Naghari Wala, Painda Banda, Karidhand, Monakhel, Taraki Wazeer and Behramkhel took out a protest rally and demanded recovery of the kidnapped persons as early as possible.
MAN KILLED: one person was killed and two others were seriously injured in two different incidents in the district.
Police said here on Saturday that unknown persons killed a young man Naseeb Zaman, resident of Ghundi Kala in Takht-i-Nusrati tehsil, in his tent at his honeybee farm.
In the second incident, a car collided with a truck near Gardi Banda in the limits of Takht-i-Nusrati police station on Indus Highway.
Two persons travelling in the car were seriously injured and were later referred to Peshawar from the district headquarters hospital, Karak.
The highway remained blocked for quite some time due to the accident.
However, police removed the vehicles and opened the road to traffic.
