ISLAMABAD: City managers approved plans for Phase II of Park Enclave on Monday, when Phase I of the scheme has not been completed yet.
A Capital Development Authority (CDA) official said the authority should focus on completing the already delayed phase Iof the project.
He said Bahria Enclave, which is right next to Park Enclave, has handed over possession of plots to buyers and some houses have already been built.
Meanwhile, those who have invested in Park Enclave are still waiting to get possession of their plots.
Park Enclave, which was launched in 2011, has faced many delays in its completion.
The project was to be completed by December 2013, a deadline the CDA could not meet.
City managers have also disappointed people who investedin D-12, the official said, where development work has been delaying for the past several years. The CDA is also yet to start work on sectors C-15 and C-16.
When asl(ed what was the reason behind starting work on Phase II when Phase I still remained incomplete, CDA spokesperson Ramzan Sajid claimed that roads and infrastructure development was almost complete in the first phase and that buyers will be handed over possession of their plots next month.
He said: `The project had to be delayed because of litigations and adverse possessions.
These issues have now been resolved.
Other than approving the second phase of Park Enclave, the authority`s board also approved two grants for its employees.
A danger allowance for staff in Enforcement Directorate and a medical risk allowance for CDA employees working in hospitals has been approved.
