Divisional competitions of youth carnival from 6th

PESHAWAR: The divisional level competitions of the National Youth Carnival will start from November 6 in which over 10,000 students from around 200 educational institutions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will take part.
This was stated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa director general youth affairs AsfandyarKhanKhattakwhile talking to mediapersons here on Thursday.
He said that earlier over 25,000 students from the public and private sector universities and 120 colleges of the province took partinthe hrstphase of the trials. He said that of them a total of 10,000 male and female students had been shortlisted for the divisional round.
He said that these students would compete in 31 dif ferent categories and the winning teams would represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the forthcoming National Youth Carnival.

Mr Khattak said that through these trials the youth of the province had been given opportunity at all levels toshow their talent before qualified selectors and then compete at the national level.
After the final teams are shortlisted, the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would compete against a total of 30,000 youth of different educational institutions of the country coming to Peshawar to participate in the final phase of National Youth Carnival Mega Challenge-2017, which would be organised in December.
The trials for the hrst phase have already been completed wherein students of Quaid-i-Azam College of Commence, Government College Peshawar, Khyber Law College, University of Peshawar, UET Peshawar, University of Agriculture Peshawar, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Swabi University, Women University Mardan, UET Mardan, NUST Kohat, Hazara University and many other universities, colleges and madressahs of the province took part.
The shortlisted probables would now participate in the divisional level competitions to qualify for the national level competitions of the carnival.
