A. Bhutto, said here tonight [Nov 2] that his Government has made determined efforts to promote and strengthen peace in the Subcontinent and will continue to follow this policy in future. Mr Bhutto was speaking at a dinner given in his honour by the members of the Diplomatic Corps. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan cherished [a desire] to promote peace not only in the sub-continent but among all the people of the world.
The Prime Minister referring to Pakistan`s stand on the Middle East said, `Our position is in conformity with international law and relations`. ... Mr Bhutto reminded the envoys that at a reception he had given to them two years back ... he had announced that Pakistan will take unilateral steps to promote peace in the Sub-continent. Since then Pakistan has taken a number of steps. ... The Prime Minister said that the presence of Ambassadors of various countries showed that Pakistan had friendly relations with all the countries of the world. ...
