ISLAMABAD, Dec 2: Pakistan is seeking a soft loan of $300 million from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank group for a project aimed at improving irrigation efficiencies, it was learnt on Friday.

The project located in Punjab will help produce more than 70 per cent of wheat. Agriculture in Punjab has been affected by waterlogging and salinity and the government has launched a number of projects to solve the problems.
