KARAK, Dec 2: Provincial chief of Jamaat-i-Islami Professor Ibrahim on Monday accused international forces and `hidden hands` of preventing his party from sweeping the May 11 elections.
Addressing party workers here, Professor Ibrahim said despite having less number of seats in the assembly, his party was the part of provincial government on the basis of good performance.
He urged workers to prepare themselves for the upcoming local body elections and said his party would contest polls for all seats from village councilors to district nazims.
The JI leader said he was confident that his party would win most of the seats in local body election through better planning and on the basis of performance in government.
He said his party was interested in winning popular support through votes for enforcement of Islamic rule in the country.
Professor Ibrahim said the country`s current socioeconomic crises could be resolved and dispensation of justice could be ensured byenforcement of Islamic laws in true sense.
Also in the day, adviser to the chief minister Malik Qasim Khan Khattak alleged that former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and former minister Mian Nisar Gul were spoiled the mega projects planned for Karak.
Addressing a meeting of PTI workers here, Mr Khattak said 17 kilometers long road to the hilly areas of Koh-i-Maidan and other area had been inaugurated and that was a remarkable achievement of the PTI government.
He said the road would be completed at the cost of Rs280 million and thus, bringing development to the mineral rich areas in the district.
`Constriction of the road was a longstanding demand of the people. Now, nobody could stop these areas from development,` he said.
The adviser said irrigation canal would be drawn from the Indus River for bringing about green revolution in the district.
He said if irrigation water was provided in sufficient quantity, then the district could provide food and vegetables to the entire province.
