TAXILA: An armed girl stormed into a barber shop, held the barber and his customers at gunpoint and snatched cash, mobile phones and other valuables from them.

After taking the items, she managed to escape with her accomplice on a motorcycle, sources said. Police have launched a hunt for her. Earlier, a case was registered against her and her accomplice at Wah Saddar police station.

While lodging a first investigation report (FIR) with police, Abdul Waqar said he was working at his salon locatedin Garhi Afghanan.

He said he and his customers were present in the salon when the suspect entered and held all of them hostage. He said she also opened fire at him when he tried to resist the robbery however he did not sustain any injuries.

A police spokesman said the investigators have registered a case and the suspects would be arrested soon. It may be mentioned here that this is the second strike by the gang in the area during the last one month.

Earlier, the same suspect along with her accomplice stormed into a grocery store and snatched cash, mobile phone, biscuits and milk from the shopkeeper in Wah Model town area on Jan 25.
