LAHORE: Two young brothers were allegedly kidnapped by armed men in Islampura area here on Monday.
They were identified as Abu Bakr Butt (20) and his brother Usama Butt (19), the residents of Sanda.
The police registered a kidnap case against five to six unknown suspects on the complaint of their father Usman Butt.
He alleged in the FIR that his sons had gone to their friend Jamil.
He said as they cameout on the street, the armed men riding a vehicle stopped them and kidnapped them. They drove away to undisclosed location, he said and requested the police for prompt action. The police said two teams have been dispatched to trace the suspects.
TEACHER INJURED: A schoolteacher was hospitalised in a critical condition soon after he suffered bullet injuries in a gun attack carried out by unidentified armed men in Sundar area here on Monday.
The injured teacher, Hafiz Mubashir, under-went profound surgery at a local hospital.
The police claim the attack was carried out because of an old enmity.
A police official said Mubashir`s brother Mudassar, a police constable, escaped unhurt in the attack as he ran for his life.
The police official said as per initial information, the brothers have an enmity with their relatives over some property issues and were also in litigation with them.
The police started investigations into the incident, he said, adding that raids are underway for the arrest of the attackers.
