NUML campus opens in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A new campus of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) was inaugurated here on Monday.
NUML Rector Maj-Gen retired Shahid Mahmood Kayani was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, according to a statement issued here.
Dr Tufail Khalil, the regional director of NUML, welcomed the guests and briefed them about the new campus and the facilities it offered.
On the occasion, Gen Kayani said that NUML was the first in Pakistan in the teaching of modern languages, and was striving for the development of modern languages, including English, Chinese, French,Japanese and otherlanguages.He said with the new campus of NUML in Peshawar, students would have access to new educational facilities.
Initially, offering master`s in English language and literature, and BBA programmes,NUMLPeshawarhasexpanded its academic portfolio over time, now offering MS in management sciences, MPhil in English linguistics, BS in computer sciences, artificial intelligence, software engineering, international relations, governance and public administration, psychology, media and communication studies and accounting and finance.
Gen Kayani expressed the hope that with the opening of the new campus, NUML would grow further. He added that the university was making every effort to build another state-of-the-art campus in Peshawar. `In this regard, efforts are being made to acquire the land.
