PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Friday approved several flyovers to be built in Peshawar and Mardan districts. All these projects would be executed by the National Logistics Cell (NLC).
He made the decision while presiding over a high-level meeting here.
Provincial Minister for Education and Energy Mohammad Atif Khan, Adviser to Chief Minister on C&W Akbar Ayub, administrative secretaries, commissioner Peshawar, representatives of NLC and others were in attendance.
The chief minister said a summary in this regard should cover the rates and costs of these projects and should have the most suitable solutions as it would lead to a time-bound agreement with the NLC for completion of the projects within the shortest possible time.
The projects include construction of Zakori flyover-Il connecting the motorway to the GT Road; Warsak, Nasir Bagh and Pajagi flyover, a bridge in Budhni; Jawar Chowk flyover and Katlang flyover in Mardan.
Mr Khattak also directed fast-track completion of the beautification plans of Peshawar, Mardan and Pabbi, and transparent utilisation of allocated resources.
