Rs10.5m will be spent on development projects: MNA

TAXILA: A sum of Rs10.50 million would be spent on execution of development projects during the current fiscal year.

This was stated by Member National Assembly (MNA) Mansoor Hayat Khan while talking to newsmen at the tehsil municipal complex on Tuesday.

Member Punjab Assembly Taimoor Masood Akbar and office-bearers of the PTI were also present.

The MNA said funds from the tehsil council and the municipal committee would be utilised on sanitation, sewerage, street reconstruction, water supply and streetlights.

He said as people were facing problems in registration related issues by visiting the Nadra centre at Wah, a separate Nadra centre would be established at the community centre in Taxila.

He said another land record centre would be established in the tehsil to facilitate the people of rural and urban areas of Wah.

He said to provide daily commodities, especially kitchen items, to the residents at affordable rates at their doorsteps a vegetable market would be set up on a railway landin the city which remains unutilised for decades.

Mr Khan said work on the Taxila-Hattar road had been initiated and would be completed during the current fi sc al year.

He said to provide recreational facilities to the residents, a spring festival would be celebrated under the tehsil municipal committee from March 21 to 23.

He said to ensure availability and quality of subsidised items at the utility stores of Taxila and Wah, strict monitoring would be carried out to provide relief to the inflation-hit residents.
