Youth urged to equip themselves with modern skills

LOWER DIR: Jamaat-i-Islami provincial chief Inayatullah Khan has urged youth to equip themselves with latest skills in science and technology to stay competitive in the evolving job market.

Addressing a ceremony at Timergara campus of AbdulWali Khan University, he said that the world was undergoing a rapid transformation, with job roles shifting dramatically. He said that workshops, shopping malls and filling stations might be run digitally in the near future.

Inayatullah said that youth represented the nation`s future and must not be misled by empty promises.

The event marked the successful completion of digital marketing and graphic design courses by 250 students under Al-Khidmat Bano Qabil initiative. District president of Al-Khidmat Foundation Hafizullah Khaksar, JI district general secretary Shoaib Ahmad and JI provincial information secretary Hafiz Yaqubur Rehman also addressed the event.

They underscored the growing significance of information technology and skill development in modern world.

They said that the youth of Lower Dir possessed immense potential but required proper guidance and training.

Instead of solely seeking traditional employment, they should focus on acquiring IT skills to generate job opportunities and establish sustainable livelihoods, they added.

Inayatullah Khan, who is also patron-in-chief of Al-Khidmat Bano Qabil programme, expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He condemned the recent suicide attack on Maulana Hamidul Haq, the administrator of Jamia Haqqania in Akora Khattak.

He said that provincial government failed to maintain law and order. He urged both the federal and provincial governments to collaborate in restoring peace and stability across the region.

PACKAGE: Talha Foundation, a charity organisation, distributed food packages among 40 families in Talash.

The packages included essential groceries such as flour, rice, sugar and lentils.

The coordinator of the foundation, Q ari Farman Hussain, said that the initiative was meant to help needy families partake in the blessings of Ramazan. He said that with the support of overseas Pakistanis, the foundation had been assisting 100 deserving families in Talash for three years.
