QUETTA: The Balochistan High CourtonWednesdayexpressedits disappointment over the non-recovery of kidnapped Higher Education Secretary Abdullah Jan and asked the police and other security agencies about their failure to come up with any clues in 50 days since the kidnapping.
The deputy inspector general of police, Quetta, and the additional IG,legal af fairs, appeared before a division bench compris-ing Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel and Justice Nazeer Ahmed Langove.
The judges remarkedthat the petition for the recovery of the kidnapped secretary despite the presence of police and other security agencies showed a lack of confidence in the law-enforcement institutions.
`If we are unable to provide any relief to the f amily of the kidnapped senior of ficer, what options are they left with?` Justice Mandokhel wondered.
DIGAbdul Razzaq Cheema informed the court that no breakthrough had been made in the case, but the police were working with other institutions for tracing the of ficer at the earliest.
