KARACHI: A suspected gangster was killed in an alleged police encounter in Lyari in the early hours of Wednesday.

Police said that they came under armed attack during a search operation in the Dubai Chowk area. In an ensuing encounter, suspect Kamran alias Mowach was killed.

City SSP Adeel Chandio said that the deceased had a criminal record and was associated with the Zahid Ladla gang.
