SARGODHA: A woman allegedly killed her three minor daughters and later attempted to commit suicide on Friday in Sargodha.

Sabahat Bibi, of 49-Tale, in the suburb of the city, was reportedly degraded by her husband Nasir Masih for giving birth to daughters. On Friday, when he was not home, Sabahat allegedly cut throats of her three daughter - Muqadas (5), Muskan (3), and Nanhi (nine months), and injured herself. Rescue teams shifted her to the Sargodha District Headquarters Hospital. The condition of Sabahat is reported to be critical.

The police are also investigating into the incident. Neighbours said Nasir also arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the incident. Inspector General of Police Arif Nawaz has sought report of the incident.

KILLED: Shahjahan with his cousin Kahrat Hussain shot at and killed his sister Nabeela Bibi in Asmat Colony in Bhalwal on Friday for her unwillingness to live with her husband and upon complain of her husband Shahjahan with the help of Kharat killed his sister and fled the scene.—Correspondent
