Lakki police to step up security for Ramazan

LAKKI MARWAT: The police here have finalised a security plan and completed arrangements for maintaining peace and harmony during Ramazan.

The plan was discussed at a meeting held in the Police Lines here on Friday with district police of ficer Abdul Hayee Khan in the chair.

Subdivisional police ofhcers, stationhouse ofñcers and other relevant ofñcials attended the meeting.

The participants discussed various aspects of the plan with regard to averting any untoward incident and ensuring peace during the f asting month. An of ficial told this correspondent that the police would ensure presence on roads in their respective localities during Sehr and Iftar timings.

He said that the SHOs would increase mobile patrolling in their respectivejurisdictions. He said that the police would also ensure safe journey on the main highways and link roads in the district during the holy month.

He said that checking at the entry and exit points would be tightened and more checkpoints would be established.

He said that more police would be deployed in the urban localities to controltrafhc and avert anyinconvenience to the public.

The meeting decided that no onewould be allowed to disturb the peaceful environment of the district. The DPO asked the police to take strict action in cases of firing in the air, profiteering, hoarding and creating artificial price hike.

He asked the officials to take prompt action on credible information about the presence of miscreants and outlaws.

He directed the SDPOs and SHOs to be vigilant and implement the security plan.
