WASHINGTON: Public anger mounted today [May 3] as it seemed likely that as many as 130,000 Vietnamese refugees will be seeking new homes in the United States. There are fears the flood of refugees who fled the Provisional Revolutionary Government`s takeover in South Vietnam will dry up jobs at a time when unemployment is running at a post war high of 8.9 per cent. Congressmen have received an avalanche of mail protesting about the influx of refugees, mainly from California, Florida and Arkansas, the sites of military bases where refugees are first being housed. New planeloads are expected to fly into the camps in the three states today.
