IT is an undeniable truth that the SehwanHyderabad road project was one of the crowning achievements of the former Sindh chief minister Syed Abdullah Ali Shah. Af ter signing an MoU with a Korean construction company, he ensured that there would be no compromise in quality and that the project would be completed in time. Through this, he alleviated the difficulties of many people in Sindh who had to endure long and unsafe travels prior to its construction.
In addition, he initiated some other projects that unfortunately remain incomplete to this day -including the police training centre and tuberculosis centre in Bado Jabal, and the road from Jhangara to Bado Jabal. The Sehwan Sharif community centre is also neglected, and the SehwanHyderabad road ought to be expanded to double lanes to accommodate the increasing traf fic in the area.
Irequestthe currentprovincial government, its chief minister and all relevant authorities to complete and improve these schemes to uplift this area and provide income generation through increased connectivity and economic activity, particularly in the tourism sector.
Like the late Syed Abdullah Ali Shah, they too will surely be remembered for their good deeds.
