PESHAWAR: The Khyber College of Dentistry (KCD) has selected associate deans for postgraduate education, undergraduate education and research under the Medical Teaching Institutions Reforms Act 2015.
Dr Mohammad Saleem was selected associate dean for postgraduate education, Dr Khalid associate dean undergraduate education and Dr Dilabaz Khan dean research, said a press release issued on Monday.
KCD dean Prof Ghulam Rasool gave appointment letters to the newly-appointed associate deans and hoped that this would promote teaching and research activities at the college. On this occasion, members board of governors Dr Mohammad Mohsin, Dilroze Khan and Ms Shahana Zubair were also present.
The appointments had been done on the recommendation of selection committees and subsequent approval of the academic council in its meeting on June 30, it said.
The statement adds that Dr Tariq Ahmed has been appointed assistant professor oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr Mohammad Saud assistant professor orthodontics, Dr Sajjad Ahmed assistant professor paediatric dentistry, Dr Amir Mahmood assistant professor operative dentistry, Dr Saad Liaquat assistant professor dental materials and Dr Hassan Shafi anesthesia besides others.
Prof Ghulam Rasool hoped that the faculty would work to improve the standard of teaching, patient care and research.
