OKARA: Two minor brothers died late on Sunday when the roof of their house fell on them while their grandfather suffered severe injuries in the Lalo Jasray locality in Deepalpur.

According to the Deepalpur city police, the roof of the house of Saeed collapsed because of heavy rains. Saeed`s sons Hammad (6) and Hamza (4) were retrieved dead from the debris while his father, Afzal, was found injured.

He was shifted to hospital in critical condition.

POLICE: District Police Of ficer (DPO) Faisal Rana has suspended from service Mandi Ahmedabad Station House Officer (SHO) Maqbool and investigation in charge Ghulam All for implicating twopeople in a murder case.

Both police officials are accused of chalaning Anwar and his son Muhammad Ahmed in the murder of Ayesha Bibi, of village Rehman Sahoky.

The postmortem of Ayesha, who was motherin-law of Ahmed, showed she had died a natural death. The DPO told reporters the Mandi Ahmadabad police had registered a case against the two people on the report of Muhammad Tariq , the son of Ayesha Bibi.

The DPO added that even after the report of postmortem, the SHO and the investigation in charge chalaned the two people instead of discharging them.

The DPO said Deputy Superintendent of Police Tariq Zafar had been tasked with probing into the matter.
