MANSEHRA: Scores of tourists travelling between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan have been left stranded after heavy boulders blocked the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad (MNJ) road near Babusar Top on Wednesday night.
Two vehicles of tourists were damaged partially when a boulder detached from a nearby mountain rolled down on them at the MNJ road, which links Chilas with Kaghan valley of Mansehra district. However, no loss of life was reported.
“We don’t know the exact number of tourists stranded in Naran and Babusar Top hotels, but the road would be cleared to traffic in next few hours and the traffic would be restored,” Mohammad Zaheer, the head constable at Chilas control room, told mediapersons.
He said that most of the tourists who were on way to GB from Naran via MNJ road returned to their hotels in Naran.
