THE Higher Education Commission (HEC) should review the criteria for the grant of management position scales to vicechancellors of public-sector universities.
At present, there are no prescribed criteria for management position scales and even vice-chancellors having a bachelor`s degree are enjoying such scales.The HEC and the finance division must have some basic conditions for the grant of management position scales to vicechancellors. I propose that PhD be one of the basic conditions for these scales to vice-chancellors of public sector universities. Bachelor degree-holders on such positions create frustration among highly-qualified persons.
