GILGIT: The federal interior ministry has warned the GB government that Hameed Group of the banned Tehreek-iTaliban can attack security forces or kidnap their personnel in a bid to free accused involved in Nanga Parbat and Chilas incidents.

In this regard, the interior ministry had recently sent a letter to the GB govern-ment suggesting the GB government to talce internal security measures and keep an eye on the situation.

Terrorists in army uniform had killed ten foreign tourists, including one Pakistani guide in June 2013, at Nanga Parbat base camp in Diamer district.

Source told Dawn that a total of 12 terrorists were involved in the Nanga Parbat incident and, of them, five were arrested while seven were declared proclaimed offenders.
