ISLAMABAD: Senator Rehman Malik is the only former interior minister enjoying security provided by the interior ministry.

Minister of Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan gave this information on Tuesday to Senate, in a written reply.

To a question of Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi of MQM, he replied that Mr Malik had been provided three police officials for security but no vehicle.

The proceedings of session became interesting as a number of senators including Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani passed remarks over it. Mr Mashhadi asked that why only Senator Malik was availing the facility.-Ikram Junaidi
