Three suspects killed in `encounter`

BAHAWALNAGAR: Three suspected outlaws were killed in an alleged encounter with police on Tuesday.

Five suspects were allegedly looting motorcycles, jewellery and cash from villagers near Chak 102/6R. On being informed, the district police officer ordered besieging of the area. Police encountered the suspects near 25/3R in the jurisdiction of Saddar police, Haroonabad.

Police said as soon as the suspects saw them they started firing, which was retaliated. Three of the suspects were killed on the spot, while the remaining managed to escape.

The bodies were shifted to the DHQHospital.

Haroonabad Saddar police registered a case under sections 302, 324, 353 and 186 of the PPC against the suspects.

6 and Arshad Joyia ward No. 11.

MNA Shah appreciated the support oftheindependentcandidates and said the country was passing through a criticaljuncture and only the Sharifs could face the challenges.
