DERA GHAZIKHAN: District police on Tuesday foiled an attempt to smuggle huge cache of arms into southern Punjab at Triman inter-provincial checkpoint and arrested four suspects.
Dera Ghazi Khan District Police Officer Ghulam Mubashar Maken told a press conference on Tuesday that police recovered arms from hidden parts of two cars atKhyber-PakhtunkhwaPunjab`s Triman checkpoint in Taunsa Sharif tehsil.
The DPO said 70,700 bullet s, five Kalashnilcovs, 54 pistols, six mousers and two repeaters were found in the cars. Four suspects have been identified as Faridullah, Mateeullah, Farmanullah of Naurang Serai, Laki Marwat, and Atif Rehman.
