PERHAPS Karachi is a dream land for land grabbers where they are selfgoverning and occupying the precious government and public land with the help of fake and fictitious documents, generally called China cutting, obtained fraudulently with the connivance of civil and Karachi Development Authority of ficials who are a stigma for society.
People are at the mercy of land grabbers and cannot get their property back fromthem and are made to run from pillar to post for nothing. At last people are forced to sell the encroached property to the said land grabbers at a very cheap rate.
Recently when KDA`s Additional Director of Anti-Encroachment Jamil Ahmed Baloch, along with his staf f, was demolishing a building encroached upon in Gulistan-iJauhar, he was informed that he was transferred from his post and as such he must stop the operation. How unfortunate! No KDA of ficer can dare lodge an FIR against professional landgrabbers as even high-ups of the department are getting their share from the land grabbers.
It is hoped all those who are concerned must look into the matter and eliminate the menace posing a threat to peace. FIRs should be lodged against land grabbers so that they, along with their facilitators, may be broughttojusdce.
