LAHORE: The chief minister has ordered suspension of the Jinnah Hospital medical superintendent from service for not providing treatment to a woman of Kasur.

He directed stern action against the doctors and other staff who showed laxity, says a handout. He reviewed on Wednesday the preliminary report on the incident of death of the female patient and said leaving someone unattended is lamentable.

The chief minister said such incidents should not occur in future and added that provision of best medical facilities to patients be ensured across the province.
