Educational institutions observe Kashmir Day

LAHORE: Educational institutions across the city organised various events, including conferences, seminars and a special poster exhibition, on Tuesday to com-memorate the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The Punjab University`s Department of History and Pakistan Studies organised a seminar on the Kashmir issue. The event was attended by department chairman Prof Dr Mahboob Hussain, Assistant Professor Ghazi Muhammad Abdullah and a large number of students.
In his keynote address, Ghazi Muhammad Abdullah emphasised the complexities of the Kashmir dispute, highlighting its historical, political, and social dimensions.
He said the conflict was not just a border issue between Pakistan and India but a deeply-rooted problem that had led to wars, insurgencies, and human rights violations.
Dr Mahboob Hussain reiterated the importance of a peaceful resolution to the conflict, urging Pakistan and India to engage in a dialogue andfind a mutually acceptable solution that addresses the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The NCA hosted a special poster exhibition showcasing creative posters that depicted the struggle, culture and rights of the Kashmiri people.
