LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday jailed a man for 28 years on charges of supplying explosive material and weapons to terrorists.

Lower Mall police had arrested Muhammad Tariq on a tip-off and recovered explosive material and weapons from him.

The suspect through his counsel denied the charges and stated that the police implicated him in the case at the behest of his rivals.

The court, however, sentenced the suspect 28 years in jail under different sections of the law and also ordered confiscation of his property.
