LAHORE: The Central Minister for Communications, Mr Khan A. Sabur, yesterday [March 3] called upon the students to dedicate themselves to the making of a welfare state.
Speaking at the installation ceremony of the new office-bearers at the Pakistan Inter-Wing Students Association here, he said the foundations of Pakistan had been solidly laid, and it was now the duty of the younger generation to make it prosperous as quickly as they could.
He said, though the two Wings of the country were separated by the hostile territory of an unfriendly country, yet `the grim determination of 100,000,000 Pakistanis will not allow anybody to look towards it with an evil intention`.
The Minister said the Government of president Ayub was providing every possible help to the students. He said the f acilities given to them by the present regime were the largest in number compared to those extended by previous Governments.
He said the credit of writing the history of the freedom movement of the Muslims of undivided India went to the Government of President Ayub.
The Minister said Pakistan symbolised the realisation of an ideology, and its solidarity couldnever be disrupted by regionalism. Agencies
