T HE retired personnel of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) have been waiting for more than 16 years for resolution of a dispute over the title of land between the KPT Housing Society and the Sindh government. This society is located on Mai Kolachi road.
The pensioners, all of whom are in their seventies, had hoped that they would be able to construct a house af ter retirement to pass their twilight years in peace. Unfortunately, because of the snail`s pace at which the case is proceeding, they are fast losing hope of a resolution in their life time. Meanwhile, the Sindh government has ordered the registrar`s of fice to freeze the transfer of plots and not allow any development.
The retired KPT employees request the Sindh government to intervene.
