KARACHI: Sindh Revenue Minister Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman on Wednesday decided to convert the Tapedar Training College (TTC) into the Revenue Training Academy (RTA) to ensure necessary technical training to all revenue officials for e-stamping and e-registration and ease-of-doingbusiness related requirements.

He took the decision while presiding over a meeting at his office attended by Board of Revenue senior member Qazi Shahid Pervaiz and other officials.

The TTC is located in Hyderabad near Rani Bagh and it would be converted into the Revenue Training Academy equipped with all necessary tools, gadgets and web-related sys-tems. The revenue minister directed the senior member to make training of all revenue officers mandatory because the BoR was heading towards a paperless system and all certificates, registrations, NOCs, transfers and mutations would be made through e-system.

The minister asked him to do necessary homework and prepare a PC-1 for converting the TTC into the RTA so that the same could be sent to the chief minister for approval.

Makhdoom Mehboob said the work of preparing in-house software applications on e-stamping and e-registration was sluggish, asking the officials to expedite the work to ensure training of staff in time.

Officialsof theLandAdministration & Revenue Management Information System (LAR MIS) presented a demon-stration of the software being developed for e-stamping, e-registration of property, and issuance of online sales certificate.

The minister said the online issuance of sales certificate facility would be made available only for countrymen living abroad. He added that they would have to apply for the certificate after getting their necessary verification and biometric proofs in the Pakistan embassy concerned.

The minister expressed displeasure over the delay in launching the e-system and gave eight days to the of ficers to start the e-registration, e-stamping and online issuance of sales certificate and ease-of-doing-business portal.

He also directed the LARMIS to develop an application for issuance of NOC at doorstep.
