SHEIKHUPURA: Three family members were killed and two others sustained injuries in an accident on motorway near Kot Pindi Das here on Tuesday.

Reports said a family riding a pick-up was on its way to Pindi Bhattian when their vehicle collided with a van. As a result Ayesha Bibi, Sadia Bibi and Amin died on the spot while two others suffered injuries and were shifted to hospital. Factory area police are looking into the matter.

In another incident, a man [hakeem by profession] was shot dead by two alleged robbers.

Nazir was sitting in his clinic when two people came there, collected cash and shot him dead on resistance. Factory area police have started investigation.

LOOTED: Gunmen tookaway foreign currency and gold ornaments from an expatriate on Narowal Road near Narang Mandi here on Wednesday.

Riaz after landing at Lahore airport along with his three family members was on his way to his village near Narang Mandi when five robbers held them at gunpoint and took away currency and other valuables. The Narang Mandi police started investigation.

In another incident, three maslowearing robbers barged into a schoolteacher`s house in the city area in Gulberg Colony on Wednesday. The bandits held the family members at gunpoint locked in the room. They collected Rs800,000, gold ornaments weighing 15 tolas and other valuables and escaped.

They also thrashed owner of the house Bilal. Housing Colony police have started investigation.
